Paper is knowledge you go to. You hold it open with two hands. You read in one place, in one direction, with your full attention.
Phone
A phone weighs almost nothing. You hold it in one hand, anywhere, half-attending, half-doing-something-else. Knowledge became portable, but also interruptible.

What's next?
Each one changed how humans learn. Each one quietly took something while it gave something. The designer's job is to choose — on purpose — what's worth giving back.
